Description on back of card: A nymph & harp ride carving on the famous Salem Willows Flying-horse Carousel. The original figures were made by woodcarver Joseph Brown but were later sold. This replacement ride figure is evocative of the art deco era.
This historic carousel dates from 1866 and is still in operation in the Salem Willows amusement park, which still retains its turn of the century ambiance. The floor of the carousel is original, made by the most famous carousel maker, Charles Looff. |
